Developer Relations Manager for Iberia – Madrid, Spain
Our client’s Developer Community is playing a leading role in shaping our growth and transformation: it fosters a vibrant global ecosystem of developers and portfolio of relevant applications that are embedded in our mobile solutions.
We need Developer Relations Manager for Iberia based in Madrid.
You will be responsible to drive the developer ecosystem strategy and its implementation for Iberia.
The working model is highly collaborative involving building and leveraging internal networks, your own functional and sector expertise, and your strong external network.
You will be accountable for results and measured on both idea development and execution.
While the geographic scope is limited to Iberia, the scope of responsibilities as Developer Relations Manager for Iberia is end-to-end.
You will:
*Create the adequate strategy that generates a vibrant local developer ecosystem
*Execute the local developer ecosystem strategy and engage the developer
*Be the voice of the developer within the company
*Need to travel about 25% of the time
You need:
*A commercial and/or technical university degree
*Master’s / MBA degree is desired
*8+ years experience in business or market development roles with a focus on developers, content providers or channel partners
*To be able to Influence across matrix organization is a must
*Strong business acumen and commercial awareness with the ability to spot different business models and opportunities when interacting with developers
*Demonstrated success in defining strategy, translating it into execution that made significant positive business impact.
*Proven ability to manage complex, multiple-stakeholder projects from definition all the way through to completion and implementation follow-up
*Demonstrated team player who can build credibility with business owners and drive initiatives in a highly collaborative manner
*Ability to perform under pressure
*Excellent communicator with both written and oral skills in English and Spanish
*Portuguese would be a bonus
*To be comfortable in working with senior management and other personnel
*Ability to combine attention to detail and big picture when analyzing situation or data
*Ability to identify risks, find mitigation options, and address issues in a timely manner
*Willingness to accept accountability for results
*To have an outgoing personality and natural networker, with already established strong network in developer community in the given country/market
*High level understanding of mobile technology
*Managing virtual teams is a plus
