Director, South Korea

The Director, South Korea will lead and manage a carrier relationship and channel sales team and be responsible for the overall performance and continued development of RIM’s carrier, business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) channels in Korea. The Director is a key member of RIM’s North Asia management team and will work closely with the region’s Vice President, other sales and marketing management, product, finance, and other functional groups to build market leading carrier, B2B and B2C sales channels for RIM in Korea.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Overall Carrier, B2B and B2C Business Partner strategy for the distribution, sales and marketing of BlackBerry in Korea
• Recruitment and business development of distribution and channel partners
• Recruit, develop and coach team to ensure that they are enabled and empowered to drive and achieve core metrics/KPIs
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum eight (8) years of experience in a channel and retail marketing, sales, business development or related role
• MBA or other graduate degree in relevant area preferred
• Relevant experience in telco/carrier relationship and business partner management
• Relevant experience in consumer sales a plus
• Experience in building and leading high performance teams
• Proven experience managing relationships with C-level executives
• Excellent English and Korean written and verbal communication skills
• Polished and confident presentation skills and style
